We are delighted to bring you an evening of ‘Prepping Images For Printing’, presented by Steve Crozier

Steve Crozier runs and owns 360 DPI, one of Irelands top printing and framing studios. Steve has been involved with image presentation for over 20 years. He has printed and framed some of Irelands most prestigious exhibitions. He has produced very small intimate exhibitions, to large scale pieces on show in some of Irelands best museums, along with work on display in some of Irelands top hotels and company buildings.

DPS Thursday Talk ‘The Wonders of the Night Sky’, presented by Ian Carruthers.

We are delighted to bring you an evening of Astro Photography,
‘The Wonders of the Night Sky’, presented by Ian Carruthers.

Ian has a BSc in Mathematical science and has had a strong passion for photography since 2012. His main areas of interest being landscape, severe weather and astrophotography. He has been to America to study/chase severe storms including tornadoes, to the Isle of Skye to experience its stunning landscape, Iceland for the aurora borealis and to Tenerife to witness  the night sky in a prime dark location.

Ian has had work featured in various forms of media including books, exhibitions and more recently got to tick off a long-time goal of his in which he won featured image of the month in BBC’s Sky At Night Magazine. DPS & TDactive Returning to Romania & Transylvania Sept 16th 2018

photo holidays irelandDublin Photography School have yet again teamed up with TDactive one of Ireland’s premier adventure holiday providers, as we head on another adventure of a lifetime to one of Europe’s most untouched and mysterious places Transylvania! We will be documenting our trip every step of the way on Facebook, Instagram and twitter, with shots, pictures, videos and snippets.

This time we are taking a band of 15 photography enthusiasts of all levels from complete beginner to advanced, and helping them hone their photography skills in this stunning location that can only be described as photographers playground.  The trip will include everything from composition, camera techniques, to street portraits, reportage, documentary, landscape, night and dusk photography.

Pro Foto Ireland – Come See Dublin Photography School

Dublin Photography School are delighted to be taking part in Pro Foto Ireland this autumn. PRO FOTO IRELAND is Ireland’s first and longest running Photography & Imaging Trade Show. It has had many changes over the years, including in more recent years, new and international Trade Exhibitors who have been invited to participate.

As part of this fantastic event, DPS will be running a ,seminar short’ on using DSLR for video, presented by DPS tutor Tadhg Conway. There will be four other seminar shorts throughout the day.

What Happens during our Seminar Short:  Get a clear snapshot of what our 1 day DSLR Video course is all about and what tips and direction you can pick up. If you’d like to start shooting Video a little more seriously on your DSLR then our DSLR Video course is something you should consider. This one-day course is designed to show you the basics in shooting video on your DSLR with a view to editing, taking in colour, lighting, sound, framing, moving your camera and everything you need to know to start you thinking like a camera operator. An understanding of exposure (Aperture, ISO & Shutter Speed) and White Balance is required to sit the course.

The talk was standing room only, full of photographers of all levels from to beginner to semi pro and beyond. The talk was brought in association with Panasonic Ireland. who were present on the night with a stunning array of there latest equipment offerings  – from compact point and shoots all the way up to full frame Mirrorless.
